NYC Planning Commission hears impassioned opinions on Mott Haven jail site | News 12 the Bronx

Dozens of Bronx residents showed up to a public hearing in Manhattan to voice their concerns over a proposed jail site in Mott Haven in the ongoing process to approve the borough-based jail system.

Bronx resident Arline Parks was one a of several showing passion at the podium Wednesday in opposing the potential Bronx jail site. Parks is the CEO of Diego Beekman Mutual Housing, which sits steps away from what would be the site at 320 Concord Ave. Keep reading.
